On May 2, 2008 the Village of Mount Morris celebrated its' Founders Day and the 173rd year anniversary of the Incorporation of the Village.  On Founders Day this year, we inaugurated and raised for the first time over our Village, a Flag designed and created locally in the sprit of Betsy Ross and her making of the American Flag, the first flag to honor our country.

Our flag honors Mount Morris and carries the Seal of the Village of Mount Morris.  The Village seal reflects a sheaf of wheat stalks bound by our Country's colors and surrounded by a golden braid, symbolizing agriculture, commerce and prosperity; set in a field of soft blue for the purity and character of its' people.  The inaugural flag is on display and can be seen in the Village Hall Board room during normal business hours daily.

If you would like to have your own flag to fly next to or beneath your American Flag, orders are being taken for reproduction.  Ordered in a minimum of 100 flags, the Mount Morris Flag will be available in 2 sizes:
